How We Rate
Every casino we rank is tested the same way, by the same team, against the same criteria. This page explains how a site earns its position on our online casino rankings — and why those positions change over time.
How we test
Every casino on our ranking pages is signed up to with a real Canadian account and a real CAD deposit. We do not rate a site we have not used with our own money.
From there, we track how long a withdrawal takes end to end — from the moment we request it to the moment the money lands — rather than trusting the times an operator advertises. We read the full bonus terms, including wagering requirements, game weightings and maximum-cashout clauses. And we log every support response we get, noting how long it took and whether it actually answered the question.
What we score, and how much it counts
Each site is scored against five criteria, weighted as follows:

Payout speed carries the most weight because it is the thing readers ask about most and the thing operators are least willing to publish honestly. Bonus terms come next: a large headline offer means little if the wagering requirements make it unwinnable. Game selection, the quality and speed of support, and the strength of a site’s responsible gambling tools round out the score.
We re-check, and positions move
Scores are re-checked quarterly. When an operator’s payout times slip or its terms change, its position on the page changes with them. A ranking is a snapshot of how a site performs now, not a permanent endorsement — a casino that was fast last quarter can fall if it stops paying out promptly.
Who is eligible
Only operators licensed for play in Canada are eligible to be rated. Every site we list accepts CAD and holds a licence valid for play from Canada. We do not rank unlicensed or grey-market operators, regardless of what they offer.
Commercial arrangements do not change scores
